DON’T COMPARE YOUR actual self to a hypothetical self. Don’t drown in a sea of ‘what if’s. Don’t clutter your mind by imagining other versions of you, in parallel universes, where you made different decisions. The internet age encourages choice and comparison, but don’t do this to yourself. Theodore Roosevelt said; “Comparison is the thief of joy”.
You are you. The past is the past. The only way to make a better life is from inside the present. To focus on regret does nothing but turn that very present into another thing you will wish you did differently.
Accept your own reality. Be human enough to make mistakes. Be human enough not to dread the future. Be human enough to be, well, enough. Accepting where you are in life makes it so much easier to be happy for other people without feeling terrible about yourself. BE YOU.
Care your body. Care your mind. Stay away from toxic people. Unfollow on social media. Talk to the people who stayed with you at your worst and still stay there at your side. Romanticize every moment of your life. Love yourself.
Everything will be better if you FOCUS ON YOURSELF.
LIFE should be lived with a spirit of adventure, loads of good conversations and a heart ready to celebrate and embrace others. LOVE your lover, make love under the stars, let spontaneity lead, keep things fresh and say “I LOVE YOU” a million times a day. SHARE a meal and glass of wine with your tribe. Don’t be stingy with what’s in your hands. Be generous with your words, your creativity, your love. LIVE large, and listen to your convictions. Don’t let the sun go down on anger. And be bold even when you feel like retreating to your safe little cave! Most importantly have faith in almighty with all your heart, mind and soul. (Not my words.)
(This video got nothing to do with the post above. There’s a reason i can’t watch any series in Netflix, I can’t keep up with something random for ages unless it’s something SciFi or Supernatural & Animation. This song is trippy tho, goes with the kinda movies kicks my mood.)
The most attractive thing about you should have less to do with your face and body, and more to do with your heart and how you treat other people.
Let’s face it, we see an appearance first and have our first impression based on an appearance. Our appearance is where we can hide behind. But an appearance does not say anything about a character. Nowadays it seems that we judge each other on our appearance, who we are and what we stand for does not seem to matter. No effort is made to get to know the person behind an appearance.
It is our own mental attitude which makes the world what it is for us. Our thoughts make things beautiful, our thoughts make things ugly. Not our eyes. The whole world is in our minds. Learn to see things in proper light. Learn to see souls instead of bodies, by using your mind instead of your eyes. LEARN TO SEE.
Take exquisite care of yourself. Sleep deeply. Stretch gently. Drink enough water. Drink herbs infused in water. Drink in the warmth of the sun. Try early morning yoga. Allow beauty to be a priority. Spirituality is beauty. Brush your hair with wooden comb. Massage your face. Moisturise with oils. Breathe. Meditate. Write down your desires, dreams & goals. Visualise. Sweat. Sweat in a gym, that’s better. Bathe. Take your time.
If you’re feeling frightened about what comes next, don’t be. Embrace the uncertainty. Allow it to lead you places. Be brave as it challenges you to exercise both your heart and your mind as you create your own path toward happiness; don’t waste time with regret. Spin wildly into your next action. Enjoy the present, each moment, as it comes, because you’ll never get another one quite like it. And if you should ever look up and find yourself lost, simply take a breath and start over. Retrace your steps and go back to the purest place in your heart, where your hope lives. You’ll find your way again.
(This video got nothing to do with the post above. Lee Evans never fails to crack you up. And this one on Cardiff, watch it coz it’s hilarious. Let’s say 2 minutes hilarious & 2 minutes unreal.)
Everything in life starts with your mindset first, intentions next and your final actions. Your actions follow your thoughts, your beliefs and ideas. To make a shift, to free your energy: start with getting your mind right, and then, take action.
It’s normal for us to overanalyze and overcomplicate just about everything. We often lead complex lives where the solutions can seem out of reach. They say the simplest answer is usually correct, so when I get overwhelmed, I come back to this profound notion of simplicity. When in doubt, simplify the clutter of your mind.
Imagine your problem is a messy knot and visualize yourself untying it. Understand that just as it is complicated to make things simple, it is simple to make things complicated as well.
